How to Submit a Sample

Want to be featured in a Derilexus track? It’s simple. Just enter your email below, tap the microphone/Record Audio button to record your audio sample (you can use your phone or any recording setup you like), review and accept the Terms and Conditions, and hit Submit.

If your sample is chosen, we’ll send the final track featuring your sound to the email you provided. Get creative – your sample can be anything original. That means vocals, instruments, ambient sounds – whatever inspires you. Just make sure it’s your own work (no copyrighted material), and keep it respectful. Inappropriate submissions won’t be used.

Steps for Recording Your Sample:

Click or tap the microphone/Record Audio button in the form below (below the name and email fields).
Allow access to your device’s microphone, if prompted.
Your recording will automatically begin.
Each sample recording is limited to one minute in length, and a countdown timer will be shown as you are recording.
Click or tap the “Stop & Save” button to stop and save the recording.
After you stop the recording, a player will appear to allow you to listen to your recording.
If you are not happy with your recording, click the trash can icon to the right of the player to delete it. Then, start again.

By submitting an audio sample through this website, you ("Submitter") acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

Voluntary Submission: Submission of an audio sample is entirely voluntary and offered without expectation of compensation, credit, royalties, or any form of remuneration.
No Compensation: The Submitter understands and agrees that no payment, compensation, or royalties shall be provided now or in the future for the submitted sample or its use in any creative work.
Ownership & Rights: Upon submission, all rights, title, and interest in and to the submitted audio sample, including any derivative works, shall be irrevocably transferred to and owned exclusively by the artist ("Derilexus"). The artist shall have full rights to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and incorporate the sample into any musical composition or recording in any format, now known or developed in the future.
No Attribution: The Submitter acknowledges that their name, likeness, or any other personal identifiers will not be credited or associated with any resulting work that includes the submitted sample.
Legal Authority: The Submitter affirms that they are the original creator of the submitted audio or have the legal right to submit it and that the submission does not infringe on the rights of any third party.
Use of Likeness: If the audio sample contains recognizable voice or other personal identifiers, the Submitter grants permission for their use without restriction or further approval.
No Guarantee of Use: Submission of an audio sample does not guarantee inclusion in any final project or release by the artist.
